Billed as the "finale act" to end his supossedly 60 hours of hanging upside-down, the "DIVE TO DEATH" turned out to be the biggest flop in memory. The "much awaited" surprise act ruined whatever is left of David Blaine's tarnised reputation; his "jump to death" coming after the controversial 60 hours of hanging upsided-down where he was accused of cheating, is the last nail on his coffin. Much of the audience felt so dissapointed that the production people were boooed and some group even wanted to beat up David Blaine. The two hour TV special may have made David many times richer, as the achorman have mentioned earlier in the show, but the fact remains that David has turned his name as another word for 'con job'. I normally do not use the video feature of my camera, but this is one occassion where I'm so glad I made the switch. Here's the short video of "Dive To Death"

Well, the big "surprise" was that he just disappeared, right? Or no? Where did he go?

Hmmmm, you don't think that maybe there was a major malfunction? I'll bet he was supposed to jump, lights go out just as he falls so you can't see the harness, and then he disappears. Obviously the lights didn't go out, and the hoisting mechanism failed to act quickly. We all witnessed a failed illusion, and saw the secret behind how he was supposed to do his trick.

Oh, I don't know. I didn't watch any of it, and didn't know how it was supposed to work and just saw the very end. It just appeared to me that the real "stunt" was him disappearing. It was obviously a goof that he didn't fall (if he was supposed to, that is) I'm just saying that maybe the real thing was that he disappeared into the night and the fall, it seemed to me, was a distraction made to look like his trick wasn't really working, but then he "pulls the fast one" on the audience at the end???
