David Cameron Gets Back Stolen Bike
After his meeting with US Senator Barack Obama yesterday, the Tory leader had the double-whammy of, after having had his bike stolen last week, returned to him today.
Mr. Cameron is a well-known figure cycling to work at Westminster every morning...although his chauffeur has been known to drive immediately behind him, transporting his briefcase and papers. The "Green Issue" is perceived to be an important one if the electorate is to be persuaded to vote for your party, with Nick Clegg, LibDem leader, also cycling to work, as well as Mayor of London, Boris Johnson.
It was found abandoned in a side street near where it went missing, minus the front wheel but otherwise intact right down to the Tory leader's helmet and even the lock, thanks to the "street contacts" of "local community elder Ernest Theophile" who is 60.
"I'm surprised they didn't take the helmet - you'd think they would get something for that on eBay," said Mr Cameron.
