AP Exclusive: Carradine Brothers Speak

Update (July 2, 2009):

It has been confirmed that David Carradine died of accidental asphyxiation. The diagnosis was delivered by physician Dr. Michael Baden.

"The cause of death was asphyxiation, an inability to breathe. Now why that happened is still what we're working on," he said.

Earlier Story:

David Carradine's cause of death has ruled out suicide, according to a U.S forensics expert who examined Carradine's body on request of the family.

His brothers Keith and Robert Carradine asked noted forensic pathologist Michael Baden in Los Angeles to look at their brother's remains, and they also thanked the Thai and U.S officials for their continued work on the case.

The 72-year-old Carradine, who had travelled to Thailand to film a new movie, was discovered dead in his Bangkok hotel room a week ago.

Michael Baden did say that further investigation is needed to determine what exactly killed the actor in his Bangkok hotel room.
