Yowza. I hope that David Lee Roth was speeding to a hospital. But the silk scarf and flashy clothing are a whole other issue.

When Ontario Provincial Police pulled over a driver "wearing a little silk scarf and flashy clothing," they didn't know he was Van Halen rocker David Lee Roth.

But they did know that the man – who they had stopped for speeding – was in the midst of a medical emergency. Roth, 53, was taken to a local hospital, where we was treated for a severe allergic reaction to nuts, reported the Toronto Sun.

At least he got the the ER in time. Anaphylactic shock would have been a terrible way for the poodle-rock legend to die.

There's quite a bit more surrounding the story of Diamond Dave getting pulled over in Oakland, ON. The real question is what he was doing there.

Not in any way directly related to Lee Roth's visit to studio of friend and fellow musician Dean Hajas is the story of Mr. Hajas' ongoing struggle in litigations with SONY BMI for copyright infringement of his material registered to One Sky Publishing and used without authorization on a popular commercial release of Brittney Spears remixes.
