David Otunga and Jennifer Hudson: First Photo of Son David

David Otunga and Jennifer Hudson welcomed their son David in to the world on August 10 and People got the rights to the first photo of the newborn.

David is named after Jennifer Hudson's fiance David Otunga.

"I love being nurturing and caring because I love to see other people happy," says Hudson. "Who better to devote my time to than my own child?"

Jenninfer Hudson did not speak about losing some of her family last year, but she did reveal some of the trials and joys of being a mother.

She and David kept the pregnancy secret for a long time and she didn't show until seven months, so that made it really easy not to tell. She also didn't get any morning sickness.

Jennifer delivered David by a C-Section, but insists it wasn't that painful and she has been up and about since giving birth. David has a lot of personality says the singer and she says he laughs a lot when he spits up on someone.

Jennifer and David say they just want their son to be happy and healthy and get a good education.
