31 Days 31 Horror Movies! Day 24!

Dracula. Frankenstein. The Wolfman. Three classic Universal monsters team-up for a film starring the comedy duo of Abbott and Costello. In the movie, Dracula (Bela Lugosi reprising his iconic role for the only time despite playing vampires in other movies) wants to revive the Frankenstein monster (played by Glenn Strange instead of Boris Karloff), but avoid the mistake of adding an abnormal brain so with the help of a female doctor he sets out to kidnap Costello and steal his brain. Helping him and Abbott is the Wolfman (Lon Chaney, Jr.)

This isn't a particularly funny film. Although, there's some great gags like Costello running for help and the monsters disappearing as Abbott shows up to help and thinking that Costello has lost his mind. But what the movie lacks in humor it makes up for in horror. All the monster scenes are great and it's a solid team-up despite the fight scene at the end being a bit disappointing.
