Three strikes by Bhuvneshwar Kumar left Australia with a tough battle to fight on the final day. India had reduced AUS to 75/3 at stumps, with a deficit of 16 runs.

Australia still trail by 16 runs and with the injury to Clarke, it pegs them back further. It's still not clear when Clarke will come out to bat. Phil Hughes battled away his spin demons by going hard at the pacers initially. He remained scratchy through the innings but importantly has stayed unbeaten on 53. A minimum of 98 overs is left tomorrow for India to try and force a result.

Yesterday Vijay Told "Vijay: 'The partnership (with Dhawan) was unbelievable. It was a great joy to watch Dhawan from the other end. He had an incredible amount of time to play his strokes. I wanted to play straight and I'm working on my game. It's not an easy wicket to bat on. It's getting slower and lower. If we get some early wickets tomorrow, it's going to be a great game.'
