A Day of Death, Real and Fake: Harrison Ford 'Dead' in 2nd Hoax

As if June 25, 2009 wasn't a day filled with enough real death, somebody decided to start two rumors of fake celebrity passings. Sadly Micheal Jackson and Farah Fawcett really did die today, but actors Harrison Ford and Jeff Goldblum are alive and well despite reports that both had perished in tragic accidents.

Harrison Ford and Jeff Goldblum are both filming Morning Glory with Rachel McAdams in New York City. Rumors began to swell late in the day June 25, 2009 that Jeff Goldbum had fallen to his death on the famous Kauri Cliffs of New Zealand, a world away from where he actually was.

The Jeff Goldblum death hoax was quickly shot down on Twitter only to be replaced by a second one claiming his Morning Glory co-star Harrison Ford was dead. The death hoax was made all the more believable when some local TV and radio stations in New Zealand, including a report by popular entertainment journalist Richard Wilkins, began confirming the Goldblum death.

However, on a day that was filled with real celebrity death, the hoax reports of Jeff Goldblum and Harrison Ford passing are happily untrue. Be on the weary look out for a follow up "report" that the third Morning Glory star, Rachel McAdams, has also died.

Another rumour that popped up this morning is that Harrison Ford was dead. He also happens to be doing fine.

The pair are both working on a movie together with Rachel McAdams called 'Morning Glory'. They were all spotted filming in New York 2 days ago, so the likelihood of Goldblum even being in New Zealand are slim to none.
