NP Rank:
Delta father who decapitated daughter gets life sentence
Barry Artiste Op/Ed
Yeah, 11 year sentence for gutting your 10 year old child like a fish seems fair in British Columbia, where a human life much like this guy is worthless! Isn't it just par for the course in this country, someone who has been in Canada for a few years, still needs a punjabi translator, cause his command of the English language ain't his cuppa tea!
A Delta, B.C., man who pleaded guilty to killing and decapitating his 2½-year-old daughter in January 2008 will have to spend 11 years behind bars before becoming eligible for parole.
Lakhvinder Kahlon, 48, sat quietly beside a Punjabi translator in a New Westminster courtroom on Friday as B.C. Supreme Court Justice Arne Silverman read the sentence.
Kahlon was on trial for first-degree murder, but on Monday he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of second-degree murder, for which he received an automatic life sentence.

Yep, and Canadas Criminal Laws are even more Ridiculous. Why do you think almost every terrorist being released from Gitmo wants to make Canada their home?

Two and half years old daughter? what crime could she have committed that he did this?
And is it not relevant what country he came from and what religion of this man? Punjabi can be Pakistan or India.
