Demi Lovato Has Checked Herself Into Rehab to Deal With 'Emotional and Physical Issues'

The Disney star entered the rehab facility on Monday night and now speculation is rampant as to what happened to her to make her take such a step.

All her rep would say was that the 18-year-old checked herself in so that she could deal with 'emotional and physical issues', but according to the Associated Press who spoke to someone on the condition of anonymity, Lovato entered the facility to deal with an eating disorder and for cutting herself. She has reportedly dealt with those issues in the past.

Over the weekend Lovato also left the Jonas Brothers tour, leaving fans confused as to what happened.

"Demi has decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help," the statement said. "She is doing just that. Demi and her family ask that the media respect her privacy during this difficult time."

She is reportedly looking forward to getting back to work in the near future, but no timeline has been released at this point.

Demi I respect you for getting help that takes alot! She chose to go everyone so stop hating on her! Would you rather have the kids today looking up to someone that cuts and has a eatting disorder or have someone that is trying to change and be the best she can be?! THINK ABOUT IT!

poor demi. when did she get out? she seems so different on disney channel now. like for the friends for change. They were cleaning up on the beach and she wore a long pretty dress and conceiled her eyes with her sunglasses. who wears a dress while cleaning up a beach?
