The world didn’t end as Travis expected on the season six finale of “Dexter” on Sunday, December 19th. Although humanity avoided Doomsday, Dexter unfortunately experienced an unexpected apocalypse of his own.

Since season one, Dexter has been able to keep his serial killer lifestyle a secret from the only family member he has left in his life, his sister, Deborah. Lieutenant Deborah Morgan finally walked in on Dexter’s dark passenger as he was passing judgment on Travis, the season six assassin. Brother, sister, and fans were in shock as Doomsday fell upon Dexter in the last minute of the season finale.

Fans will anxiously wait until late next year to see how the already complicated relationship between Dexter and Deborah will play out. Even though Deborah was finally grasping some understanding of her feelings towards Dexter, witnessing her brother murder may alter her romantic thoughts drastically in the last two seasons of the series.

Dexter’s secret world of killing serial killers is no longer possible with Lieutenant Morgan aware of his hidden lifestyle. It is evident that Dexter will be forced to talk about his dark passenger with his sister even though he has struggled for so long to keep it covert. Their relationship will definitely move beyond a familial bond in the seasons to come as Showtime wraps up one of its most popular series.

I'm sorry, but Deb is not the only family member Dexter has left in his life. If she even is family, then Astor and Cody are also and I can't imagine them mot showing up anymore at all. The only actual family member Dex has left is his son off course..
