Diana Ross on Michael Jackson Death: "Can't Stop Crying"

Diana Ross, the face of Motown soul and the lead singer of The Supremes, is mourning over the death of Michael Jackson. Ross starred alongside Michael Jackson in the ground-breaking film, The Wiz, a remake of The Wizard of Oz featuring an entirely African-American cast.

"I can't stop crying, this is too sudden and shocking," Ross says in a statement. "I am unable to imagine this. My heart is hurting. I am in prayer for his kids and the family."

Diana Ross is just one of the many celebrities reeling from the shocking death of Michael Jackson.

It's far too late to mourn Wacko now - we lost him years ago. Did you not notice the skin bleaching, the stick on noses and taking young boys into his bed? That was the time to mourn him. Michael left this planet long ago.

No one really believes that. Did he also have a disease that changes the shape of his lips and a bone disease that changed the shape of his cheekbones and a nose disease...etc etc. I don't know how you explain away all the rest - oh that's right it never happened - right?

You belive in the fairy tale Michael if you like, but you must know deep down you are kidding yourself

This skin disease theory is pure speculation on the part of fans who are desperate for any explanation that absolves him of responsibility. Yes the disease is real but there is no evidence MJ had it or anything similar. MJ never made any such claims himself - don't you think he might have if he was so innocent? The truth is he denied his black heritage and the skin bleaching, nose, lip and other physical alterations are one of the reason the black community ultimately feel he has beytrayed them. Michael did a lot of things he should be ashamed of and probably was. He is no role model and we shouldn't create this mytrh about him being great or loved.

I think its possible to love the music and yet hate the man for what he was and did. There really is no need to pretend Michael was great as a man to appreciate the music. Let's be honest the music great - the man despicable.

Was she who the song Dirty Diana was about? Diana should have returned the favour and written a song called Filthy Michael.

I agree with Ross, jacko was a lost cause it probably better he's left us at least he may be remembered for the more positive things in his life.  He lived as a kid and doing that when your fifty is just weird regardless of your history.

We lost the real Jacko in the early nineties

I can't beleive you are convinced by this twaddle.

Bert Duncan

You haven't given any reasons why you think he was amazing, blessed or an angel - or why you refuse to beleive the truth about him. I don't recognise the Michael Jackson of your imagination

Bubbles hated Michael too

He didn't have any friends - he was Michael Jackson.

He was never convicted of anything. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. It grieves me that people have so much to say about Michael's outer appearence and have nothing to say about his heart. Unless you have walked in his shoes you may want to keep quiet. Like Mike once said "start with the man in the mirror" before you condemn others.

This makes no sense - check your spelling please.

Some of these comments amaze and sicken me.  I, like Diana, am in shock.  Michael Jackson was quite simply an absolutely amazing, gifted performer.  I have been crying off and on all day, while listening to his music.  I am praying for his family.

I agree - think about the future and it doesn't have Michael in it, so lets just forget about the sad and evil freak shall we. Why not celebrate the life of someone who actually deserves it?

Do you really think these were the only 2?

Most of the families just wanted to put it behind them and it was clear they couldn't afford to get justice.

We may here more now he's dead. Examining Jackson's life it much like turning over a stone, but a lot less pleasant.

The reason that people kept sending children to his home is that they were like you: abuse deniers - it's extremely dangerous and niaive.

I think you've come to the wrong place. This is a website to post and discuss new stories - it is in no way a website dedicated to the legacy, memories, prayers and well wishes for Michael Jackson (I would not be here if it was). To discuss stories we need different points of veiw, don't be upser by veiws that are different from your own. The site would not attract anyone if everyone posted the same kind of comments.

Death is a seperation process, Michael's spirit lives on  and will be called in the "catching up".  Many of you may not understand, but true member's of the body will see him again.  God Bless the Jackson family.

People should try to refrain from even replying to the Stupid remarks that others leave as you are just feeding into them and that is what they are looking for....if we just ignore their dumb asses....they won't reply any further!  With that being said....Michael Jackson was a huge influence in the music business and no one since Elvis has crossed between music genres as he did....NO NOT EVEN the Beatles...all they did was sell more albums!

first of all Michael was a great performer and he was great at what he did, he didn't live a normal childhood and second of all he had a skin disease dumb fucking idiot and third of all what makes you think he even did it ? were you there? The parent's to those children wanted to get money off of him is how I feel.. SEe someone rich and theres your chance to make easy money! It's funny how all these other celebs and other children stayed at his place he never molested them.. don't judge him for his life he's only a human being so what he's had surgey on his nose a few times.. dOesnt make him a bad person does it? NO everyone does now days get over it.. He's truly going to be missed and I loved him so much! r.i.p Michael you're finally in a better place.. People need to stop being so judgemental on other people and take a look at themself before saying anything because there has to be a reason on why you want to hate on someone else ..

THis man did so much ! he's helped children all over the world no one ever apperciated that he 's been a icon to musicians all over the world and heros to many apperciate him because if it wasn't for him music wouldn't be the same! ty MJ! mauh!

Skin bleaching

What is your source for MJ saying he had a skin disease - I don't believe he ever said such a thing, its just a myth that gets repeated as a fact. I know people wish it were true but it isn't.

Michael-I hope you are truly at peace now. As sad it is that you are no longer with us, it hurt to watch you deminish your quality of life and see you in pain and live in obvious insanity. I wish you saw in yourself what we all saw in you! Amazing talent, a beautiful person, and a powerful encourager. I hope you find that now - I hope there is more for you. But rest assured, you will not be forgotten and you will be missed. Isn't amazing that after everything you had gone through - you still make such an impact in people's lives - that says a lot about you! Rest in Peace Michael.

Jessica you fail to realise he wasn't nice on the outside or inside - where did you get the idea he was nice and bright? You can't be talking about THE Michael Jackson. Please don't peddle your twisted fantasies here.

Astonished beyond belief

imara - you don't think he wanted to be white! What colour do you think he was trying to make himself - green?

Simon Locky

We have already exposed this skin disease myth earlier, theres no point stating it again here.

And I fail to see why people keep saying we cant judge anyone - where do you get this odd idea from? You are clearly making postive judgements about him, so why are you only critical f of negative judgements (which are fair and true in my opinion).

I wouldn't kick their donkey if they were true (did you mean arse instead of ass? Its a common error many Americans make)

I don't lie about people just because they are dead - why should I pretend they were good if they weren't?

Wacko Jacko was the only one responsible for the way his sordid life turned out.

I'm not a particular "type".

Interesting how you explain away the allegations to yourself, doesn't quite fit the facts though.

No need to be abusive to make your point - and there is no Hell, unless you belive in God & fairies too.

You don't know me but I can assure you I'm a better person than MJ (not difficult)

What gives you the right to thank people on behalf of the Jackson family?

Unbelievable !!

Ummm no - actually he's dead. Did you miss the news somehow?

And how do you know, so authoratatively, that he had this skin disease? Because he said he did? Well, I'm really the Pope. Do you believe me, as well? I'm with you on the caring and loving individual, but he was strange beyond strange. He DID bleach his skin, and it will all come out over time. kep in mind that for years he denied having any work done on his face. Years later, he admitted to two nose jobs only. Plastic surgeons have agreed he would have had to have multiple (perhaps as many as 15 operations) procedures to have transformed that much.

You're an idiot. a) He did not 'bleach' his skin, he has a skin disease called Vitiligo that cause blotches on the skin's appearance. Rather than looking like a spotted dalmation, he puts white powder on his face to have a more even complexion. b) He does not stick on noses. in the early 80's, he fell on stage and had to get his nose reconstructed. After this, he found his new nose difficult to sing with so he had more surgery. This may not look too appealing to the more shallow of you out there, but thanks to these plastic surgery operations, he could sing amazingly for as long as he did. c) I don't even want to go into this 'taking boys into bed' thing because its ridiculous that you even believe the media's sexual insinuations regarding the whole affair. All I'll say is that if you'd never had a proper childhood, you'd be drinking hot chocolate and having slumber parties too. I'll also add that the boy who originally charged Jackson with sexual assault said that he lied later on, and you can even look that up if you don't believe me. His father just wanted money. Michael Jackson was a loving, sensitive, caring person in this world and I think if anyone was wacky, it was people like you and the media for the ruthless way you disregarded his breathtaking talent in favor of more trivial subjects like his sexuality and his appearance. In future, get your facts straight before you speak or people may feel a temptation to strangle you.
