Galveston Historical Foundation Executive Director Dwayne Jones  is pleased to announce that the organization's most important annual fundraising event, the 35-year-old Dickens on The Strand Victorian holiday festival, will take place this year, even in the face of extensive flood damage by Hurricane Ike to the historic downtown where the festival is held.
