Net Gen-ers watch less television than their parents do and they watch it differently.A Net Gen-er is more likely to turn on the computer and interact in several different windows, talk on the telephone, listen to music, do homework, read a magazine and watch television. TV has become like background Muzak for them. It's a deeply interactive experience. Net Gen-ers are active initiators, collaborators, readers, organizers, writers, authenticators and even strategists, as in the case of video games. They do not just observe; they participate. They inquire, discuss, argue, play, shop, critique, investigate, ridicule, fantasize, seek and inform.
I am in Ottawa speaking at the Canadian Association of Broadcasters annual convention and this piece is a perfect reflection of the message I have been putting out for the last 2 years. Don Tapscott is absolutely right about the impact that the new generation of media consumers. They will change the world - starting on Tuesday.

Yes ,i agree with you that today's generation are very srud and smart ,coz they are exposed to quite a lot of things than before and the kind of compotition they face to grow high is very tuff ,so they are suppose to be smart,if they sit back lethargical they will be either push back or dichted .

Yes !! you are very ture.Today's generation are very fast and active ,with little motivation i think they can even grow to big heights and hit the boom.

Digital Boom is about the hit the work place. This is an understatement. It is already here. I see it growing the internet. Many people are not aware of how this is going to impact our economy, environment, and our societies. It is happening right now everyday, everymonment. The average person isn’t aware that there are forces at work, to educate the public on the matter of Innovation. Thinking out side the box, understanding the impact that social media will have on our environment, economy, and society. Redefining how you fit in the employment world.
