Diwali a most cherished festival of India and arguably it is the festival for all walks of life.

Millions of dollars are burnt in the form of Fireworks and each family has the share in it. Even a pavement dweller invests at least 1 USD for fireworks.

Perhaps a condition for joy to all. India has just concluded another colorful and light glown  Diwali in her own rights.

But if we look for the no of people slept without dinner in that very night it looks odd to have such an expense. Children are dying with out medicine and basic amenities are less than adequate for poor.

Government alone can not help out the 1 billion populations with inadequate infrastructure for public infrastructure.

If 10% of each individual cracker price deposited in a public fund it will send at least 1 million to school with new schools, medication to another million. Perhaps a decent lively hood for a million too.

Hope that next Diwali will see the better enlighten and enjoyment for most needed ones.
