DJ AM Funeral Details: Body Arrives California
With the tragic passing of DJ AM people are wondering where and when the funeral will take place. Thus far, his body was released from the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home in New York and, as of today, arrived in Los Angeles, California. Funeral details have yet to be released but an autopsy was completed this weekend by the New York Medical Examiner's Office with the toxicology tests to come back in a few weeks.
Since drugs and crack were found with the body of DJ AM on Friday night, most have pointed to an overdose. But the lack of confirmation by the coroner, and several other reports and rumors, are making fans wonder why DJ AM went back to drugs after years of trying to stay sober.
Even with the funeral expected to happen later this week, much like Michael Jackson's death, it will take several more weeks for the toxicology report to be released. The medical examiner's office has not dispelled suicide as a cause of death, rather they have ruled "nothing out."
Reports are claiming that DJ AM, Adam Goldstein, took his break up with model Haley Wood quite hard and that may be the catalyst that led him to suicide.
The funeral is rumored to take place this coming Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Groman Mortuaries in Los Angeles.
A rep for L.A.'s Groman Mortuaries tells E! News that the Jewish funeral home was contacted a couple of days ago by Goldstein's family—who said they were looking for a suitable final resting spot. But Groman was not selected to help with interment plans.
No word yet on the attendees of the service but more details to come as information is released.
