DJ AM's memorial service tonight at the Hollywood Palladium may now be open to the public, whereas before it was billed as a private affair.

The memorial starts at 7pm, but according to Perez Hilton, people who want a chance at attending the memorial can line up on Sunset Blvd at 6pm and once all the invited guests are inside, members of the public may be allowed in if there is space available. So it's not a definite that the public will get to go in, but there might be a chance.

The Hollywood Palladium was the first place that DJ AM played with Jay-Z last October after his plane crash last year.

The memorial tonight will pay tribute to Adam's struggle with addiciton and will be in the format of a 12-step meeting.

"Adam's friends both from his life in recovery, as well as those from other areas of his life are welcome," the invite explains. "We ask only that everyone adhere to the tradition of anonymity and let what they hear there, and who they see there, stay there."

DJ AM has undergone an autopsy, but futher toxicology tests are needed to determine the cause of death.

It is uncertain if DJ AM was suffering from the break-up with his girlfriend Hayley Wood, but Hayley has since said that is not true.

His friends and family have asked fans not to send flowers:

We appreciate the kind words and support for Adam over the past few days. Due to your inquiries, in lieu of flowers, AM's family would like to suggest making donations to the following charitable organizations: National MS Society, Southern California Chapter, or Friendly House. The latter is a drug-treatment center for women, and a representative told TMZ that AM was a supporter of Friendly House and would show up at its luncheons.
