DMX Arrested for Drug Use, Lawyer Wants Dr. Drew Pinsky for Help

DMX was arrested earlier today allegedly for violating his probation by engaging in drug use.

Earl Simmons, a.k.a. DMX (Dark Man X), was arrested in Arizona earlier today. TMZ is reporting that the troubled rapper was arrested for violating the terms of his probation by using some sort of illegal drugs in the past nine months.

DMX's lawyer, Gary Jenkins, believes the solution to his client's addiction problems is Celebrity Rehab host, Dr. Drew Pinsky. Jenkins said to TMZ, "He's been battling addiction for some time and he's in need of treatment. We're hoping that maybe Dr. Drew might be able to help him."

DMX has an extensive arrest record with most charges related to drug use, including an arrest in John F. Kennedy International Airport for cocaine possession in 2004.

Wife Tashera Simmons Writing Tell-All Book

Representatives for Tashera Simmons, who has been married to DMX since 1999, confirmed she is writing a tell all book titled, Strength of Woman. Tashera stated the book will reveal details about her “not so glamorous life” in the book.

He should go to a real doctor for treatment and not someone like Dr. drew who needs treatment himself for needing attention and needing to be on television. Dr. drew and mtv, vh1, etc. exploit the personal problems of others for ratings and money. And the "therapy" he prescribes always ends up costing a lot of money. Nothing is cheap or free.
