Dr Laura racist rant (n-word)

Dr. Laura Schlessinger N Word Rant To Caller Named Jade - Later Says Sorry, Audio

Dr. Laura Schlessinger has apologized for repeatedly using the N-word during radio segment with caller named Jade who was seeking advice about issues of race in her relationship.

"I talk every day about doing the right thing. And yesterday, I did the wrong thing," Schlessinger said on her radio show Wednesday.

"I was attempting to make a philosophical point, and I articulated the N -word all the way out -- more than one time. And that was wrong. I'll say it again -- that was wrong."

The incident happened Dr. Laura Schlessinger's popular call-in show on Tuesday.

The caller named Jade (who is black) was seeking advice on how to handle what she thought handle racist situations involving her husband's friends. That is when Schlessinger stepped in and said Jade was over-reacting saying the N-word is used all the time at which point Dr. Laura Schlessinger proceeded to drop the N-bomb repeatedly.

Black guys say it all the time,” Schlessinger, who never directed the word at the caller, said. When the woman objected, Schlessinger commented: “Oh, then I guess you don’t watch HBO or listen to any black comedians.”

Approximately 9 million Americans tune into Dr. Laura Schlessinger's radio program.

.... Schlessinger missed the point: the caller made clear that the word was being used in an unkind way, not joking way, so whether or not black folks should use the word should be entirely irrelevant to this caller’s experience, or the advice offered to her. But Dr. Laura, as with all right-wing blowhards, doesn’t care about racism, or racial abuse heaped on black people. Her ultimate advice to the caller: “Maybe you shouldn’t have married outside of your race.”

I think Americans have lost their minds when it comes to racism!  This is getting ridiculous and way out of hand.  As a Montrealer, I live in a multi-ethnic city where whites, blacks, asians, muslims, etc. all seem to get along (more or less) without requiring endless dialogues about "the status of race" in our country and so on. I'll admit that some people are sensitive to certain words, and you shouldn't say those words to them, in an insulting manner.  But to try to abolish a word and pretend like it doesn't exist, or never to use it in any context whatsoever - to not even be able to have a discussion on the subject without saying the word in question - is, quite frankly, moronic. And there is a very valid point being brought up about white people somehow not allowed to say the n-word.  This, also, is ludicrous.  Personally, I am a white male, living in Canada, and my ancestry is Polish.  There is probably no white guy out there with less involvement, personal or ancestral, in the American slave trade.  Yet I can't even say the word without being branded a racist, because of my skin? ... I can think of few things that are not more inherently racist than that. If you want to talk about racial equality, talk about this: if one racial group is allowed to say a certain word, all racial groups are allowed to say it.  Final point.  Anything else is simply racist.  So either nobody gets to say the n-word, or if black people insist on saying it, then white people get to say it too.

I wasn't aware that the hypocritical loud mouthed Laura Schlessinger still was allowed to have a show.

I remember how her hypocrisy was exposed several years back! She has done everything she spouts off and condemns others for.

Who in the hell would even want to listen to that pious bitch rake them over the coals, and be dumb enough to ask someone like her, for advice?
