The Dream and Christina Milian Have Separated Just Five Months After Marriage

As NowPublic reported on Monday, The Dream seems to have been caught cheating on Christian Milian with his assistant Melissa Santiago and soon after the pictures of the couple in the Caribbean were released The Dream's rep released the following statement:

"Terius 'The-Dream' Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward," his rep tells Us.

On Sunday, while her husband was frolicking in the warm waters with his assistant, Christina Milian was spotted out and about with their baby daughter Violet in Toulca Lake California, and she was nothing but smiles.

The couple wed in September 2009 and according to The Dream's statement they have been separated since late 2009, but just one month ago denied that their marriage was in trouble.

Christina Milian even tweeted just two weeks ago:

Everybody go pick up that LOVEKING album from THE- DREAM ASAP! Support my boo!

Why would she do that if the marriage was already over?

The timeline appears to be off.

I figured it wouldn't last because they weren't even together long enough to really get to know one another. Furthermore, judging by what The-Dream says in his music and the statement he made about their divorce, he doesn't really seem like the settling down type anyway. It's a shame because this is celebrity man #3 for Christina. First it was Nick Cannon, Second it was producer Dre, and then The-Dream.? It's like she's allowing herself to be passed around or something. She really needs to slow down and take her time to get to know these men before she get's with them.

It is very sad to see another famous couple head down the divorce road again. They looked so very happy together at one time. People need to really get to know each other long and hard before they get married.
