Dream Prompts Man to Build Replica of Noah's Ark
After having a dream about his country being engulfed by rising ocean waters, a Dutch Christian felt compelled to build a replica of Noah's Ark.
Completed about one year ago, it enables him to "bring this beautiful Bible story back to life, in a visible and unique way" not only for the Dutch people, but for "as many as want to hear it, worldwide!"
This unique replica, built by Johan Huibers, has already been visited by more then 300.000 people. Although it's only half the size from the real Noah's Ark, according to his web site, people are amazed by all there is to see on the Ark.
In general, people visit the Ark for about 1½ hours. Incredibly, Huibers is now busy constructing a life-size replica of Noah's Ark which he estimates will require about 12,000 trees to construct. Good thing the environmental wackos weren't around in Noah's day.
