Earthfest Boston 2009 kicks off today, hosted by Radio 92.9, and this is a popular green festival that features free organic food samples, tips on how to live sustainably, and lots of live music acts such as Red Summer Sun.
This all takes place at the Hatch Shell along the Charles River.
Later there will be Shawn Mullins, Seven Mary Three, Lemonheads and Soul Asylum.
Earthfest Boston 2009 is the launch point for numerous other summer festivals and concerts in the Boston area.

I lived in Boston on Beacon Street and spent many a night enjoying the entertainment at the Shell. The events they put on there free of charge are really amazing and thousands of people take advantage of enjoying the events put on there. I encourage anyone who hasn't already gone, whatever the event, to join in on the fun.
