Eco-friendly nudists cycle in the buff through downtown LA
Some may have had fantasies of jogging, streaking or cycling in the nude on major thoroughfares in large metropolitan areas, but a group of fleshy folks hit the streets in all its glory without incident June 16 in downtown Los Angeles.
And it happened in broad daylight at the time of day when shoppers, tourists and photographers were most active.
Scores of men and women took part in World Naked Bike Ride, an international clothing-optional en masse excursion that promotes the utilization of bicycles, skates, skateboards and other forms of human-powered transport options.
The dress code for this event, which takes place several times throughout the year around the globe, is "bare as you dare." Although full or partial nudity is encouraged, it is not mandated by organizers.
