It seems like a good Eddie Murphy death hoax pops up every month. The last one hit on July 11, 2012.  The latest Eddie Murphy Death Rumor popped up on August 28, 2012.

It claims that Eddie Murphy died in a snowboarding accident (because who doesn't love snowboarding in August). This is basically the same hoax that popped up last month.

As far as anyone can tell, Eddie Murphy is not dead.

The Eddie Murphy death story is a variation of a celebrity hoax that's been going around for years. The story claims that  Murphy died in a snowboarding accident in Switzerland. Just like Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler and countless other stars.

Murphy fell victim to a separate death hoax a few months ago.

So to repeat: Eddie Murphy is not dead. Sadly, Audie Murphy died in 1971.
