Eddie Murphy Dead: Rumors of Fatal 'Left 4 Dead' Accident True?
You shouldn't always believe what you hear in the rumor mill, a report that Eddie Murphy was dead after a fatal accident on the LA set of his upcoming movie Left 4 Dead is false. The Eddie Murphy Left 4 Dead death rumor goes back 12 months and is yet another celebrity death hoax that repeatedly pops up on the web.
According to the recycled reports/rumors Eddie Murphy dies after a special effects mishap turns fatal. However, neither the past nor current claims that Eddie Murphy is dead are true. In fact, Eddie Murphy is not even starring in a movie version of the Left 4 Dead video game, nor is such a movie even in production.
Fear not Eddie Murphy fans, he is very much alive, and probably getting a good laugh at being added to the list of celebrity death hoaxes.
For one thing, this Eddie Murphy dead rumor is recycled, since he was already alleged to have died in Left 4 Dead in January. According to American Superstar, this rumor broke in January and was already debunked, so it is unclear how this story was resurrected again today.
For another, IMDb.com does not list Eddie Murphy in a movie called Left 4 Dead, and IMDb is usually the most up-to-date source for movies that are being filmed. Murphy is listed as being in post-production for A Thousand Words and Shrek Forever After and has seven projects in development. But none of them are called Left 4 Dead.
Perhaps it wouldn't surprise many if they heard Eddie Murphy had been reduced to starring in a movie based on a video game, considering Murphy's most recent career slide. But it does not appear that he is in Left 4 Dead, and although it is an actual video game, a Left 4 Dead movie is not in development.

Normal 0 Maybe this has been the latest celebrity death rumor to hit the Internet but it wasn’t true. Sometimes, celebrity rag tabloids and pathetic excuses for journalists like to print rumors that aren't true, like the Eddie Murphy dead rumor. The Eddie Murphy dead thing was a rumor that there was a special effects accident on set of a movie version of the video game Left 4 Dead. The rumor is over a year old, but as with so many stupid rumors, it keeps getting spread. When rumors like Eddie Murphy dead start making their rounds, that's when it's time to get a cash advance and find something to do.
