The EIGHT drugs Michael Jackson was taking EVERY DAY!
Michael Jackson was taking a devastating cocktail of drugs that should never have been combined with each other in the weeks before his sudden death, it has emerged.
The singer was said to be on not one but three powerful painkillers all at the same time, when more than one is potentially fatal, and was also consuming vast quantities of other pills every day.
It is claimed Jackson, 50, was injected with the powerful painkiller Demerol - a synthetic drug similar to morphine - moments before he collapsed and died from a massive heart attack.
Sources cited by The Sun claim the star was having three of these injections every day but was also taking two other painkillers Dilaudid and Vicodin. None should ever be combined with other drugs.
If this is true its shows that Michael was suffering from depression as well as body pain. Demeral has been limited to its use in at least two countries and has already been associated to one highly recorded death... and associated with the deaths of
- David Kennedy, son of Robert F. Kennedy. The cause of his death in 1984 was ruled a "multiple ingestion" of cocaine, Demerol and Mellaril
- Tammy Wynette, singer. Wynette's daughter Jackie Daly alleged in a 2000 book that Wynette had been "hopelessly addicted" to Demerol, Dilaudid, Versed, and other painkillers prior to her death in 1998.
Pethidine has serious interactions that can be dangerous with MAOIs (e.g., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). Such patients may suffer agitation, delirium, headache, convulsions, and/or hyperthermia. Fatal interactions have been reported including the death of Libby Zion. It is thought to be caused by an increase in cerebral serotonin concentrations. It is possible that Pethidine can also interact with a number of other medications, including muscle relaxants, some antidepressants, benzodiazepines, and alcohol.
It certainly is not correct to take other drugs when Demeral is prescribed and now we know why the doctor car was seized for investigation. Its ironic as the doctor concern is quoted as being a cardiac specialist, it looks like this guy is going to be in big trouble.
