An Electoral Reform for the UK?
One of the good things to come out of this Election are the discussions on Electoral Reform.
Gordon Brown says that he will consider electoral reform if the Lib Dems form a coalition with Labour:
He said there were areas of "substantial common ground" - including reforming the voting system and plans to ensure economic stability
The Liberal Democrats have made it clear that one of their key priorities is electoral reform.
The Lib Dems are talking with the Conservatives who
oppose changing the voting system.
I have spoken to a few people who feel that it is unlikely that the Lib Dems will go with the Conservatives.
I hope that the Lib Dems will form a coalition with Labour so that we can get real change. Maybe we will have a more 'left wing' Government.
The current system is highly unfair and many people are going against their beliefs by tactical voting.
I am going to cross my fingers and hope for the best.
