Elizabeth And John Edwards Legally Separate
It is official. Elizabeth and John Edwards legally separate. After admitting to fathering a love child with former aide Rielle Hunter last week, 2004 Vice Presidential nominee John Edwards has called it quits. It is reported he moved out from the couple's family home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Elizabeth Edwards's sister Nancy Anania said Elizabeth Edwards told her she has had enough. "I've had it. I can't do this. I want my life back." Meanwhile, Andrew Young, John Edwards's former campaign aide, is releasing his new book where he details the cover-up of Edwards-Hunter affair.
Elizabeth Edwards is suffering from terminal breast cancer. The couple has three children, the youngest of which is 10 years old. It is not clear if the Edwards are going to seek separate custody of their children. It is being reported they are not filing for divorce just yet. Under North Carolina law, the couple cannot get divorced until at least one year after legal separation.
