Ella Ann, born Korttney Elliott, one half of the duo known as The Bangz, was shot in the neck in Los Angeles. According to The Bangz' Twitter feed, Ella Ann is still alive, but remains in critical condition after several operations, according to Twitter updates. No further news at the moment regarding the circumstances of the shooting.

The Bangz are Ella Ann(Korttney Elliott) and Sabi (Jenice Portlock); their single, We Love Boys with Tattoos (We Jerkin') is currently on radio rotation. The Bangz, along withgroups such as duo The New Boyz, are part of the Jerk Movement, a subgenre of hip-hop.
