BACKSTAGE LIVE with Alvin Taylor & Ukulele Ray

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- World renowned studio session drummer for legendary artists Elton John, George Harrison, Little Richard, Cher and others, Alvin Taylor has joined forces with Best-Selling AMAZON uke recording artist and singer/songwriter Ukulele Ray to oversee a myriad of Ray’s projects, including an upcoming TV show, concert tour and the production of Ray’s 14th album.

With an amazing music career spanning more than 45 years, with hundreds of Gold and Platinum albums to his credit, Alvin is thrilled to be involved in a project that’s new, and fresh.

“Ukulele is such an awesome instrument,” Alvin said. “I think there’s a lot I can do to help build the kind of sound that will help push the ukulele forward through Ray’s music and style.”

“I’ve worked with some of the greatest artists in the business: Elvis, Little Richard, George Harrison, Elton John, Jimi Hendrix… and, Ray has what it takes. He’s an amazing artist and showman. I couldn't be more excited to help build the orchestra around him,” Alvin added.

“I'm honored to have Alvin as a part of the team,” Ray said. He brings so much energy, with a wealth of experience. I’m truly blessed to have him.”

Known as an innovator in integrating ukulele into mainstream music, TV commercials and film, Ukulele Ray asked Alvin to take over production of his 14th album, and bring his special magic to the mix, like he’s done with so many legendary artists over the years.

“It was obvious, from the moment we hit the studio, it was right,” Ray said. “To watch Alvin work, his communication skills and acute ear, made an immediate difference in our music’s sound and feel. Thrilled to be working with a master.”
