Emily Dickinson quote. handbound turquoise leather journal or sketchbook

I made this journal/sketchbook in my bookbinding studio in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.

I'm doing a series of leather journals with quotes about the moon on the first page (seemed like a good idea, since my business name is Moon Bindery :).

This one has this quote by Emily Dickinson on the first page:

"The moon upon her fluent
route defiant of a road —"

The rest of the pages are blank, and are made with hand-torn writing/sketch paper.

The leather was dyed using natural vegetable dyes, and the inside has a really lovely mottled effect.
