In the first match of the T20, England will take on New Zealand in Auckland on Saturday.  The three-game series will give both squads a fair shot to bed into format. 

However, the tour structure may be to New Zealand's benefit with its shorter span (50-over matches follow later in the month) being their best opportunity to turn England over.

Both of the squads had a disappointing World T20 in Sri Lanka and being eliminated in the Super Eights, but have had mixed results since then. 

England shared its series in India while New Zealand was defeated by South Africa, but did obtain one win through a stunning innings performance by the likes of Marin Guptill.
