Entourage Fans, Vincent’s Villa Finally Off the Market
Are you a fan of HBO’s Entourage? If so, you’d love the California villa made famous by the TV show – if it hadn’t already sold.
It was announced that the Tuscan-esque home located in Encino was sold for a princely sum of $4.2 million, which sounds nice until you realize it was originally listed for $5.75 million.
That’s a much nicer price more fit for an A-list entourage.
The charming 9,010 sq. ft. home comes complete with seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, plus an exercise room, private outdoor whirlpool, and guest house complete with its own waterfall. It also features tasteful polished marble, limestone, and walnut spread liberally throughout the home to compliment the high exposed-beam ceilings and smooth Venetian plaster walls.
In short, it’s no surprise that the boys from Entourage made this villa their go-to party pad for so many episodes.
(Oh, and that disastrous fire that kicked off the premiere of season 8? Didn’t happen in real life, of course. The house is still very much intact.)
Of course, not all homes that are featured on hit TV shows and movies sell – and many, believe it or not, sell for steep discounts like the Entourage abode. Remember Cameron’s ultra-modern home in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? It was put up for sale in 2009 for $1.8 million, but to date no one has bought it – even with a discounted price of $1.65 million.
The home from Home Alone hasn’t sold, either – even after the asking price dropped by $225,000 (now that’s a home robbery!).
Maybe this all goes to show that people who have the money to plunk down on high-priced mansions and estates made famous on TV and the silver screen probably want a little more privacy than you could expect from a home that showcased the hilarious antics of Vince Chase and his entourage.
That’s why you frequently see these discounts – even though, of course, ‘discount’ here is a very relative term. Most people associate discounts with coupons at the grocery store, not a few grand knocked off of a multi-million dollar price tag.
The next time the Entourage home comes up for sale, maybe you can grab it. Start saving those coupons now!
