ET tops list of 10 Best Alien Movies Ever Made

ET was recently named the best alien movie ever made, in a study conducted by PhonePiggyBank.com.

The entire top ten list:

  1. ET 1982 
2. Men In Black 1997
 3. Independence Day 1996 
4. Alien 1979 
5. Transformers 2007
 6. Predator 1987 
7. Star Trek 1966 
8. War of the Worlds 2005 
9. Fifth Element 1997 
10. Aliens 1986 

We like to think the fact it was made-for-television is the only reason the classic 1986 alien move 'Project: ALF' didn't make the list.

ET was a pretty big deal in the 80's when I was still a kid. I wonder, though, if anybody under 15 thinks as highly of ET today.

I think it's a joke that Transformers made it into the top 10. I know Megan Fox is hot, but Transformers is just not an alien movie.

No way. Alien is the best alien movie of all time. Of all time. Also, is District 9 too new? Oh, and Alien Nation is criminally overlooked.

And. yeah, I daresay that Transformers is a robot movie, and not even close to ever being as awesome as The Iron Giant.

I think they made a typo in creating the list. There is no film Star Trek 1966, only the TV series from that period. Most people would agree that Star Trek, The Motion Picture 1979, is an utter piece of garbage.

You know it is rigged when both MIB & Independence Day top Alien, or Aliens.

I'm surprised nobody has yet to trash War of the Worlds 2005. It was so bad, I couldn't even make it to the 30 minute mark. If they did a survey, I would bet that 50% or more of the people who paid money to watch it in the theatres wanted their money back.

Everybody knows the greatest alien movie of all time is ALIENS, the 2nd part of the franchise! It is also considered the 2nd best action movie of all times!No wonder...James Cameron directed it ;)
