This must be a fad....whenever a root fetches over thousands of dollars you have to think twice. But it seems to work for some. And I never knew about ginseng hunting, sounds like a good weekend activity.
Western Maryland ginseng hunter Roger Welch found the nearly one-pound wild root, which could be worth thousands of dollars. Experts say the ginseng will fetch a premium because it's probably close to 100 years old. Ginseng's supposed healthful properties are said to increase with the plant's age. Welch says it's the biggest root he's found in 45 years of hobby ginseng hunting. He says he'll probably give the money to his wife as a Christmas present.

It is American Ginseng Root slices. Quite cheap really. Not those wild ones.

I should try selling fake ginseng, but telling people it is fake so I don't break the law. I need to start my own fad...I should come up with one this afternoon!
