The image above appears on the invitation to an exhibition titled 60 years old [Israel] opens its eyes

Curator: Reli Wasser

Opening: 15.10.2007

Rosh Pina Museum, Israel

In the catalog of the exhibition I found the following caption about Miryam Mehadipur’s painting:

"Oil and ink

170 cm – 100 cm

An Olive Leaf (symbol for peace) in an open eye shape looking at the harsh reality, expressing the gap between your yearning for peace and the harsh reality. Not in your control, Israel. But inside you hold tight and cherish the yet unborn. The hard seed that one-day, God willing, will bud. Amen.

Miryam Mehadipur developed for her own unique very ethnic style with themes inspired by Jewish traditions and universal truths".
