Stuntman Killed during Expendables 2 Shoot

A stuntman was killed and another seriously injured while shooting a scene for The Expendables 2. The accident took place on the Ognyanovo Dam near the town of Elin Pelin.

The second unit was filming a scene involving an explosion and a rubber boat on the dam. The surviving stuntman is on assisted respiration after a five-hour surgery, according to the Sofia Echo.

A representative from Nu Image/Millenium Films, which is producing The Expendables 2, released a brief statement: "It is with great regret that we confirm this unfortunate accident. Our hearts go out to the families and those on the production affected by this tragedy. The filmmakers are working closely with the authorities in responding to and investigating this accident."
