Laura Dern receives Golden Globe for her role as Katherine Harris in HBO's "Recount."  The real Katherine Harris presided over the contested election while simultaneously serving as co-chair of George W. Bush’s Florida campaign.

Dern accepted her award in a simple, but stunting black dress.  Dern not only thank Danny Strong for his outstanding script, but also her parents, her husband -- Ben -- and her children.  She ended her acceptance speech with a positive statement as she "looks forward to the amazing change in our country."  This writer certainly hope Dern is right!
