Such heavy handed tactics! Personally, i like the "is", but to just pull the plug on a group is really overbearing, in my view.

Facebook has silenced a 20,000-strong campaign group dedicated to the seemingly innocuous goal of stopping the site from forcing people to use the verb "to be" in their status updates.

It's almost cute that they feel so threatened by such a harmless group. I also think the group has a point: the status section is unneccessarily limited.
