Facebook Lives Up To Its Name, Recognizes Faces
Everybody's least favorite social network is at it again with more anti-privacy fun and add-on application antics.
In today's edition of 'hey-look-it's-me' technology, two 'face' sites have joined forces to identify hapless folks who just happen to be snapped in pics posted to the interwebs.
Yes, not only can Google Street View spot you while taking out the trash, now Face.com and Facebook can auto-identify your face in any photograph.
That's right — facial recognition has finally come to Facebook.
A handy little app called Photo Finder can spot, scan, and tag your face from any "everyday photo" that has been uploaded to the popular social networking site.
Photo Finder's claim that photos won't be auto-tagged without users' approval, but could this pave the way for a more subtle (yet sophisticated) erosion of one's privacy online?
Anonymity is a thing of the past; and the internet is no longer a place where you can remain faceless for long.

I don't like the trend--why should the website be cataloging pictures of people? What happens after photos of someone are autotagged?

I agree with what you said, there is no longer a sense of anonymity with Facebook. It has tainted our generation, and with your article it is apparent that it will only get worse. Great job :)
