Looks like Mark Zuckerberg just won't rest until Facebook becomes a Twitter clone. To this end, the @mentions feature is now live. So, if you type @ followed by the name of one of your friends or brands/bands/celebs of whom/which you're a fan, then they'll be tagged in that update. So, yeah, you can talk to Coca-Cola. Or to AIIIEEE GET TO THE CHOPPER. Warning: they may or may not talk back. Your mileage may vary.

Luckily, Facebook Lite eschews this "feature".
