Maybe Twitter's verification system is working. For example, Fakerparis is not even pretending to be Paris Hilton. Judging from his/her/its Twitter homepage wallpaper, he/she/it is really Robert Pattinson.
Perhaps the next step is verified fake-celeb accounts, so you could have TheRealFakeJohn Stamos or TheOriginalFauxBama. Like the starting lineup of tweet-personators. Then they could fight off lesser fakers. Hey, Twitter: you gotta admit it's not a bad idea. I got your back.
I sometimes hate the Internet.
