Farrah Fawcett leaves her fortune, worth about 7 million dollars US, to her son Redmond O'Neal, and before she died, she said that she hoped it would help him kick his drug habit. Ryan O'Neal will get nothing and the money will be put in a trust fund for Redmond, and he will get a monthly allowance.

A source said: “Farrah appointed two trustees to make sure the money helps her son sober up rather than giving him the means to destroy himself. Redmond’s inheritance will be tightly controlled.”

Redmond O'Neal is currently serving a jail sentence for drug offences.

Ryan O'Neal said:

“I will do everything in my power to honour her memory and to protect our son.”

Celebrity and Music Producer, Craig Ell who attended the famous, Promises Rehab in Malibu, California with Actor Ben Affleck, told us, "I hope Redmond recovers with or without money. He is a good kid and anyone is capable of getting sober and many people do, however it is staying sober long term or for life, that seems to be a great struggle and challenge. I've seen too many people with money, become almost disabled to stay on a straight and narrow path, especially in Hollywood, but all it takes is a desire to stop whatever addiction you may have. I personally found it to be the best decission of my life!"

Craig was also under the care of Dr. Drew Pinsky at Las Encinas in Pasadena and lived with Rock Star, Rod Stewart's son Sean, prior to Sean's appearance on "Celebrity Rehab", hosted by, Dr. Drew. Craig and Sean formed the Record Label, "Stewart Records" in 2001 and Mr. Ell is currently in production for his own TV Show entitled, "Hollywood Dreams", that he Host's.

Mr. Ell added this statement after being interviewed by us this week, that "Redmond seems to have a long road ahead of him, but with carefull planning and family support, he has a good chance of not making mistakes, like the one's that have landed him in jail and hopefully will be able to focus on goals and life changes and also be able to mourne the loss of his famous "Angel" mother's passing."
