MTO Says that Ashanti will Replace Fergie in Black Eyed Peas

The Black Eyed Peas are taking a "scheduled break" in December 2011. This is fine, since we're still not recovered from their Super Bowl performance. At any rate, Taboo said that Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel will be using the downtime to have a baby.

Fergie told US Magazine that, while she isn't pregnant (yet), she acknowledged that Taboo is "expecting [her] to be expecting any minute now."

MediaTakeOut (as is the site's wont) is taking the story a step further. MTO says that Fergie will be leaving the Black Eyed Peas permanently, and that Fergie will be replaced with Ashanti.

The Fergie-out-Ashanti-in rumor has not been verified by, well, anyone in a position to verify such a rumor.
