Festival of Thai ethnic minority group in Lai Chau province

Thousand of people flocked into Nham Lum stream to join the water splashing contest of Then Kin Pang festival of Thai ethnic minority group in Phong Tho district, the northwestern mountainous province of Lai Chau.

Thefestival aims to show gratitude towards deities and express good praisefor timely rains and favourable weather, good crops, happy life andgood healthy. It often takes place on the 10th day of the third lunar month.
