Updated: During the weekend, Robbibs visited Venezuelan old capital city, Coro, to look for locations for his new project. According to El Universal and despite allegedly backing the Chavez administration, Robbins did not attend the Sunday TV show Aló Presidente which took place in Coro. This is the TV show used by President Chavez to announce his policies or foreign policy.

Caracas, Venezuela, 7 June 2008. American film director Tim Robbins - Mystic River (2003)- visits Venezuela to look for locations for a new project. Partner to famous actress and political activist Susan Saradon, Robbins is another American film or media related star to visit Caracas and back the administration of President Hugo Chavez. Prior to his visit. Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey and Oliver Stone also visited Caracas.  However, it is still unclear whether Robbins will meet with President Chavez this time. Robbins opposes the policies of American President George Bush and the invasion of Iraq.
