Two horror movies going for the same audience opened this weekend, The Final Destination and Halloween II. The former won. According to early Friday estimates, Destination opened with $10.5 million. Halloween II opened with $6.9 million. Yet you have to take 3D into consideration. Destination is playing in 3D and tickets are more expensive as a result. So, both movies had about the same attendance. Had 3D not been the case it would have been too close to call. Back in June, Up and Hangover had a too close to call moment.

I can't believe Final Destination won - it sucks.
