NBC announced through the Today show this morning that it had finalized its exit deal with Tonight show host Conan O' Brien. He will get $33 million and his staff $12 million. His final show will be this Friday.

Jay Leno, after a failed attempt at primetime, will return as host on March 1.

"In the end, Conan was appreciative of the steps NBC made to take care of his staff and crew" his manager, Gavin Polone, told The Wall Street Journal. "Now he just wants to get back on the air as quickly as possible."

According to the deal, O' Brien can't start a new show till September. Although it doesn't matter since it's going to take him that long to start one anyway. While no official deals have been made, he's most likely headed to FOX or its cable channel, FX. The former is the ideal choice, but they need to work things out with the affilates who all have syndication deals.

His final two shows will feature guests Robin Williams, Tom Hanks, and Will Ferrell. As well as some surprise guests.
