The first meeting of Colonel Ed McMahon, USMC Retired, and Major Michael "Juice" Sobyra, USMC Retired. The F4-U Corsair meets the F/A-18 Super Hornet! I spotted Mr. McMahon, found Mike and our friend Smitty, and we caught up to him near the sports book in the Las Vegas Hilton. Mr. McMahon and his son Jeff are gracious, first-class gentlemen. Mike now has a law degree, but works as a Senior Instructor at "Top Gun," the Navy Fighter Weapons School made famous by the Tom Cruise movie. But Mike's been living off this experience ever since! Smitty and I, too.

Two distinguished Marine Corps figher pilots, Colonel Ed McMahon, USMC Retired, and Major Michael "Juice" Sobyra, USMC Retired meet for the first time; The F4-U Corsair meets the F/A-18 Super Hornet! We caught up with Mr. McMahon near the Sports Book in the Las Vegas Hilton in November of 2006. Colonel McMahon and his son Jeff are both gracious, first-class gentlemen. Despite "Juice" having earned a Juris Doctorate degree, he works as a Senior Instructor at TOPGUN, the Navy and Marine Corps' elite Fighter Weapons School made famous by the movie starring Tom Cruise. But Mike's been living off this experience ever since!
