Snow was born Phoebe Laub on July 17, 1950, in New York City and grew up in Teaneck, N.J. As a youngster she studied piano, then switched to the guitar. Snow's marriage to Phil Kearns ended in divorce. She is survived by a sister, Julie Laub.
